As part of its corporate social responsibility with the support of the Ministry for Tourism, MATS is realizing its initiative to regenerate a site it uses for navigational aids. MATS’ idea is to highlight the site’s historic importance and present it to the general public.
This initiative is joining a project launched by the government, in which 36 tumoli of land will be dedicated specifically to afforestation and a total of 8,000 indigenous trees will be planted. The final part of the project will incorporate an underground station owned by MATS, that will be restored, amongst others hosting past air traffic technology to the knowledge of future generations.
