Malta Air Traffic Services (MATS) is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented professional to join our team as Executive I (Human Resources & Marketing). This role requires a strategic mindset and expertise in human resources management, marketing, stakeholder engagement, and project management within the aviation industry.
The selected candidate will report to the Head (Human Resources) and will be responsible for executing HR functions while contributing to marketing and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
By the closing date of this call for applications, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Academic Qualifications: A recognised Bachelor’s degree at MQF Level 6 (minimum of 180 ECTS/ECVET credits, or equivalent*) in a related area of study, plus at least three (3) years of full-time, proven relevant work experience.
*A recognised qualification comparable to 180 ECTS/ECVET credits is accepted subject to an MQRIC formal recognition statement.
Additional Requirements:
- Proficiency in the English language.
- Consideration will be given to candidates with experience in Industrial Relations and Marketing Skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and having excellent organisational, interpersonal, and multitasking abilities.

Job Description:
- Assist the Head of HR in implementing HR strategies, policies, and procedures in alignment with MATS’ objectives.
- Manage employee relations, acting as a liaison between trade unions and the organisation.
- Handle personnel records in compliance with GDPR policies and liaise with the Data Protection Officer.
- Support recruitment and selection processes, including job advertisement creation and candidate management.
- Draft internal and external calls for applications and oversee recruitment logistics.
- Monitor sick leave and coordinate with the Company Doctor.
- Assist in updating and managing job descriptions.
- Provide support in the disciplinary processes and staff management recommendations.
- Assist in rostering of ATS personnel according to the operational requirements and the assignment of other related ATM duties.
- Perform other related office duties as per exigencies of the Management.
- Reports on safety occurrences.
Marketing & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Develop and implement marketing strategies aligned with MATS’ objectives.
- Strengthen MATS’ corporate image.
- Oversee digital marketing initiatives and public awareness campaigns.
- Engage with stakeholders to enhance recruitment efforts and promote MATS services.
- Conduct market research and analyse industry trends
