The Company is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the position of Executive 2, Training Facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and development of MATS training facilities (ATC simulators), as attested in the Job Description below. Qualification Requirements: Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent at MQF Level 6 in a technical subject such as Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent, formally recognized by MQRIC.
Experience Requirements: A minimum of three (3) years of full-time, proven experience in a technical role and/or technical project management within the Public or Private Sector is required. Experience in aviation and/or possession of a pilot license will be considered as an asset.

Job Title: Executive 2 – Training Facilities

Reports to: Training Facilities Management
Section Head: Direct Superior or Chief Financial Officer
Main objectives of the post:
The Executive 2 within the Training Facilities Management will report directly to the Direct Superior or C.F.Oand will play a central role in the upkeep and development of the training facilities, including both the Radar and Tower Simulators. The successful candidate will also be responsible to effectively prepare and coordinate Simulator Training Sessions to ensure that the Operational requirements and the Training objectives are duly met.
The ideal candidate for this role shall be an open-minded individual with a positive attitude and a genuine interest in education and training, have a flexible mindset and be adaptable to a quickly changing environment. The successful candidate is expected to take ownership and full responsibility for all the tasks assigned to him/her, be flexible at working in a team environment and also be able to work independently on his/her own initiative.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities are the upkeep, maintenance, and development of the simulator facilities at MATS which are achieved by:
- Coordinating effectively and preparing simulation exercises to ensure that the Operational requirements and the Training objectives are duly met.
- Organizing the execution of the simulator exercises and allocating the necessary resources.
- Coordinating and liaising with the Training Instructors and/or OPS Management, during the design and evaluation of simulator exercises, by providing the necessary support to achieve the required training objectives.
- In conjunction with the Training Instructors and/or OPS Management, developing and maintaining the necessary training material and documentation, including pseudo pilot transcripts and instructor/assessors de/briefing scripts, for each simulator training course, as necessary.
- Updating and maintaining the LMMM scenery and LMML airspace on the Tower and Radar simulators respectively, to ensure high fidelity and alignment to the real-life scenario.
- Updating and maintaining the aircraft performance databases to reflect real-life aircraft performance.
- Coordinating and liaising with sub-contracted external training academies, to develop and/or maintain the necessary simulator facilities and/or training courses, as needed by the Company.
- Maintaining an exercise database on each simulator, whilst ensuring that all the exercises/scenarios are regularly backed up and archived.
- Developing additional software tools to facilitate the programming and upkeep of exercises.
- Troubleshooting problems encountered during testing and simulations.
- Coordinating and following up problems identified on the Simulator systems with the TSS section and/or respective suppliers and service providers.
- Researching possibilities of improving the performance of simulators and their possible integration and compatibility.
- Attend any necessary training courses and workgroups (including travelling overseas) to keep abreast of simulator facilities technologies.
- Support the Safety, Quality, Security and Compliance of MATS, including but not limited to reporting of Safety and Security Occurrences.
The Training Facilities Executive 2 shall also be responsible for:
- Assisting in the planning and development of training plans and the scheduling of the use of the simulator facilities and resources.
- Assisting in the coordination and planning of both in-house simulator training and any simulator training executed in external institutions.
- Assisting in pseudo piloting when needed.
- Supporting Training Instructors in their daily work.
- Producing and developing teaching material as guided and required by the Training instructors.
- Collecting feedback and managing any recommendations/improvements in future training programs.
