Air Traffic Safety Electronics Officer (ATSEO)

MATS is currently accepting applications for the position of Air Traffic Safety Electronics Officer (ATSEO) within the Technical Support Services section.

 

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates must possess at least a Higher National Diploma (MQF level 5) in Telecommunications Engineering, or an equivalent recognised qualification, with Secondary Education Certificates at Grade 5 or better in Mathematics, English and Maltese languages.

Students who are reading for a Telecommunications or Electronics Engineering degree (MQF level 6) and in their third or final year of study are also encouraged to apply. For these candidates, the position may be offered on a part-time basis until they successfully complete their degree.

Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to the above, also hold industry-standard CCNA and LPIC certifications.

 

Experience Requirements

No previous experience is required as all the necessary training will be provided by the Company. Candidates must be prepared to travel abroad for training or work-related assignments, as required by the Company.

Candidates will automatically qualify as Air Traffic Safety Electronics Officer at grade 1, on successful certification of the initial training (composed of the Basic and Qualification training). Additional development courses will be required for future advancement within the section.
